Oooh snap. I was just looking at SpanningSync or BusyMac. Hooray!

Makes me wonder if I should bother with MobileMe now.

What the hell is my "Google calendar email address?" Same thing as my Gmail address?

I have a sneaking suspicion that this is a stupid question.

I must be having a senior moment. What am I missing? I've added the gmail address to my Me card in address book and followed every instruction I can see to the letter. My Gmail password is still being rejected.

Thanks, hanschien! That did it. You'd think I would have thought of that myself ... <Slinks away quietly>

Good Start But...

I have 5 calendars in iCal --- how do I send those to my google calendar, and have them editable on the google end?

I'm looking for full two way sync ......

You will need to export each iCal calendar
And import them into google calendar. Then follow the directions to get each calendar back into iCal.

If you have a blackberry, without BES, this works really well with google sync to sync your bb calendar over the air with ical. Now if they could come up with a solution for contacts.

bah, I have two way syncing between my macbook and google calendar now, but I can't edit my gcalendars from my iphone, can't edit events or add an event to a calander, they are read only.
Is this apple's end or google?
Maybe I will need to go back to spanning sync for a bit until they sort this out.

I can add to any of my calendars from my iPhone except the one I have syncing with google.

If I have to export and upload all of my iCal calendars to sync them with gcal, that would be fine, but then no syncing / editing w/ iphone is a deal breaker.

Hey all.
Am I to understand at the present time Google Calendar cannot take what you already have in iCal and automatically sync it?

Basically what I want is for me to edit my calendar on my mac, or google, or on my blackberry and it update on all devices. Is that possible automatically or do I have to import export and all?

When I used it, it did it automatically. I would enter an event on my BB, and a few minutes later it would be on gCal, the next time I opened iCal, it was there too.

Can anyone here write up a quick tutorial to have my events in iCal show up in Google Calendar? Thanks. :)

that website says to download an application called calobration, but when it redirects you to the apple website, it doesn't seem to recommend that for you.... any other tutorials. i to am wanting to know how to set it up once and for all.

thanks

For those wanting to sync with iPhone, why not use Google's tutorial (or Calaboration) to set up syncing with iCal and then use Exchange to sync calendars and contacts on the iPhone over-the-air? Fully modular, instant solution.

Also, if you don't use Calaboration, Google's tutorial only gets you your main calendar. You "calendar address" is: <long string of letters/numbers>@groups.google.com. To get it, go to Google Calendar, click the dropdown arrow next to the calendar, hit "Calendar Settings" and C+P the "Calendar ID" from the XML+iCal+HTML links towards the bottom.
