When I used it, it did it automatically. I would enter an event on my BB, and a few minutes later it would be on gCal, the next time I opened iCal, it was there too.

No I know. But my problem is going FROM iCal to gCal/BB I want all of my calendars and groups and stuff to go from iCal to those other services. Because I do most editing of events on my computer, and change stuff on the fly with my BB. And using gCal as a host for those. But I have so much already set up with iCal, I want to import it to gCal rather than remaking it all on gCal and deleting iCal and havin iCal as a read only window.

Ok. using the link on the first post of this thread, I was able to get my Google Calendar into iCal.

But call me confused here. I was under the impression that all of my iCal appointments and events that I already had under my default calendar in iCal would sync with the Google Calendar.

How do I get the items that are under my default iCal calendar to copy over to my Google Calendar? Do I need a third party tool? Should I be using my Google Calendar as my default calendar under iCal?

Yes.

the default iCal calendar you have is not set up to sync with gCal, so why would they appear on gCal? Just drag the events to the gCal calendar in iCal

Here's what I'm trying to do:

I've established a 2-way caldav connection with my gcal in iCal

I've backed up and deleted my default "work" calendar from iCal

Now my gCal is at the top of the iCal calendar list.

My goal is to have mail.app add events to my gcal. Previously, whenever I was sent a .ics or a meeting invite, it would automatically add it to my default calendar in iCal. Now, for whatever reason, mailed events are not being auto-added to my ical. In fact, I can't add any .ics files to my gcal calendar. I can create new events which show up in both my ical and gcal, but double-clicking on a .ics attachment brings the ical window to the front, which then displays nothing. They are also not showing up in gcal, should that be a question.

Is there any way mail.app can add events to gcal? I was thinking about applying a rule that would forward all calendar events to my gmail account, but I can't seem to get gmail to auto add .ics events to gcal. I'd also prefer to keep my business email address rather than sending event responses from "badassmother@gmail.com" etc. Thanks!
