iPhone 8/Plus Sync iphoto albums on iPhone 12.1.4

I used to be able to sync my iPhoto albums with my iPhone 8. I now have 12.1.4 and it won't let me choose albums to sync. Help!

Are you by chance using iCloud Photo Library- that might disable local syncing.

I am not using iCloud photo library. I checked on both my phone and mac and that is not selected.

Right now, when I connect my iphone to my mac (Mojave 10.14.3), and, through iTunes, it lets my sync music, podcasts and audiobooks, but doesn't give me the option to sync specific iPhoto albums. It used to.

I solved it (with a Goggle search)! Just sharing in case this happens to someone else. I was getting an error when trying to sync my photo albums from my computer to my phone. It turns out it couldn't find my Photos Library. Apparently this is a common problem between iTunes and iPhoto and here is the fix. I am so! happy!
