Sync iPod Music to new iMac

I want sync my iPod to my new iMac and am concerned because I found directions how to but it says it must verify content is purchased from iTunes. Is there a way to transfer downloads (limewire) on my iPod to my new iMac?

Is there another way to sync besides burning CD/DVD? If not, would I lose my Limewire music???

I use this app senuti to rip tracks from my iPod. It will add all the tracks stored on your iPod to your new iMac.
