iPad mini Sync iTunes content from Old MacBook to iPad Mini??

Hi - quick question.

I have an old MacBook (2008, in Black!!) this holds my entire iTunes library.

Can I plug an iPad Mini 4 (mine) into the the old MacBook and sync selected albums across to the iPad??
Is it the same method as used when syncing an iPod??

What OS are you running on the MacBook and what iTunes version - I think you'll be out of sync version-wise between your MacBook and your Mini 4 but maybe a sync through iCloud is possible (I don't use the Cloud so can't say.)

The MacBook is running OS X 10.6.8
iTunes is 11.4

Wire it up on the USB cable then you will see the iPad in the iTunes window if it works...

I don't have the iPad yet. I'm considering buying one, but not if I can't Sync some of music collection across from the old MacBook.
Having my entire Music collection on this old MacBook is proving to be a real PIA!!

It's also very risky, if you value your music collection. At a minimum you need to back up your iTunes Media > Music folder to an external drive or sdcard.
