Sync Tone Warning

When I try to sync my tones I click on Sync Tones, the dot is on All tones and I can't change it to selected tones and I get a warning "Are you sure you want to sync tones? All existing sings,movies,and TV shows will be removed on the iPhone." Why can't I change the selection to selected tones and what does the warning mean?

I'm not sure, but think if you manually sync music you also have to manually sync tones

It's because your iPhone is synced with another computer.

I got this phone from my son. How do I get it to sync with my computer?
