You know how alot of cable companies are advertising that feature where you play it in one room, pause it, then pick it up in another?

I was wondering if anyone knows of any software thats capable of doing the same thing on a mac. even if its just the option of playing while broadcasting a stream on the wifi network.

I may sit down at my imac which has a flat screen tv hooked up to it to watch a downloaded movie or tv show off my hard drive. then, "...i'm getting hungry, time to make dinner". i typically keep my macbook in the kitchen or in my work bag(also in the kitchen haha)

so now i have to remote connect to my imac using finder find the movie file, and then find the place where i left off. and if i plan on going back to my room again i have to find the leave off place once more.

i'd like to be able to use the same feature as the cable companies if the software is available or a work around, plug-in etc.

ringing anyone's bells?
