Hello,
I am new to this forum and I honestly do not really know much about programming an app or something like that.

However, I do own a Macbook for Video-Editing and and have been wondering, how I would go about a simple command line that lets me perform multiple actions in two different programms at the same time.

Let's suppose that I want to use the remote control app from panasonic to control a linked camera and at the same time, final cut pro does something on its own.
Both Actions should be doable with only one button on the keyboard.

How would I go about that, or rather... Where can I find Help in doing that?
any help would be much appreciated.

Hmm, maybe Automator can do what you want?

Yup. Sounds like a job Automator or AppleScript.

Both would depend on having appropriate support from the apps you want to control, which I can't comment on not being familiar with them.

If you're lucky then there might be some nice drag and droppy Automator actions available.

If you're less lucky then there may be no Automator actions and you may have to AppleScript it.

If you're really unlucky then none of the apps you want to control will have AppleScript support or Automator actions, in which case nasty, clunky solutions such as UI scripting may help you, although be wary of them!

Good luck.
