Hello everyone!
What would be the best solution in situation when there is two identical MacBooks, one is used for everyday work and another is meant almost only as backup device in case if main machine stops working. Need to synchronise all data from main macbook to a backup unit, which needs to be done at the end of every workday.

Initially to create same copy of main machine was used cloning software. SSD drive of second machine was plugged through USB (2.0) cable and it took around 6-7hours to copy 470gb of data.

Now SSD is back inside of backup machine. So how to transfer updated data (daily) fast from main machine using Ethernet cable or any other method.

Thank you!

An Ethernet cable is the fastest way to do this but to be honest I would use a NAS for a backup solution then you can access the files from any device.
