Syncing apps for photos between iPhone and Mac?

Now that Apple has switched off My Photostream, can anyone recommend an automatic way of syncing photos between phone and Mac?

Don't say iCloud. I have bought plenty of my own storage: I don't need to pay Apple for more.

I have said it elsewhere, but PhotoSync is best app for syncing photos from iPhone to Mac.
