iPod touch Syncing HD video to 2nd Gen

I have a 32gb 2nd Gen iPod Touch and I have a 720p Wimbledon match in my iTunes. I want to watch it when i leave to go back home in England but it won't sync, i have tried using the create an iPod or iPhone version but all that does is crash my iTunes. How can i get it on my Touch?

So do you know if the Ipod, iTunes, computer, or cable is at fault?
