For several years now I have been syncing my iPhone and iPad with a windows pc. I few months ago I finally got an MBP, but I’m unsure of the best way to sync my iOS devices to the MBP.

So before I sync my iPhone, I wanted to find out if anyone as any recommendations, or have also made the same move from windows to Mac.

Should I restore my iPhone and then sync it to my MBP as a new device? Or, should I connect it to my MBP as it is, and sync it? If I do that will I lose my notes, which are different than those on my MBP?

Thanks for the help.

Last year I switched from an older MacBook Pro, to a newer one and synched my iPhone up like normal without a hitch. I'd assume coming from a PC to a Mac should be similar. Shouldn't have to restore your phone or anything, just make sure you're not trying to synch movies and music that might not exist on the mac yet. I always set my iTunes to "manually manage movies, and music." Hope that helps.
