Syncing Ipad Pro 11 to Laptop

I have a older windows laptop with iTunes on it that has regular USB ports. Always connected my 9.7 Ipad with a lighting to USB cord worked fine.

What would I need to connect an Ipad Pro 11. Is there a data USB-c to USB cable you can use.

Yes.

I haven't synced my iPad to a computer since 2012 or 2013. I just don't see the need since it is a standalone device now.
