My humble salutations to you all! So far I've learned lots from these forums and thank you for the help you all share.

A few months ago I changed from XP to a MacPro and LOVE IT! So much so I'm waiting on delivery of a MacBookPro so we will have an old XP box & notebook for sale if anyone wants 🙄

I have spent a little time setting up the MacPro. I'm not very strong with computers but love all the things this one is helping with now. Have just discovered the value of users accounts and my wife & I now have two very different setups on the same machine which is pretty cool.

I would love to (easily) configure the MacBookPro just the same as the MacPro. I would also like to keep various apps in sync with each other including;
Bento, Mail, iCal, Address Book, Firefox bookmarks, Dashboard widgets & prob a few other things i can't recall. Lightroom too if they ever offer the functionality.

Mostly I use the MacPro for Lightroom & Photoshop processing. The MacBookPro will do some light duty Lightroom work (job image selections etc by trusty wife) & I'll have to move files between them from time to time. The transfers will be in the order of 5 to 20GB at a time.

SO... a lot to ask but I will anyway...

What's the best direction to research how to setup the MacBookPro from the MacPro settings - Ie Migration Assistant, or SuperDooper, or .Mac Account etc... I have no idea!

What's the best way to sync everything (automatically when in proximity would be ace!).

Can someone suggest if an Airport extreme base station connected by ethernet cable to the MacPro & wirelessly to the MacBookPro will be suitable for big files transfers & regular syncing.

That's all I can think of for now. Thanks in Advance for any ideas - I don't expect the whole manual but some tips in the right direction would be grand!
Camo.
