The hard drive on my MBP crashed and I had to replace it with a new one.

I successfully restored almost everything from my Time Machine backup - but my iPhoto library and therefore the iPhone photos that I had sync'd to the computer did not come through.

I had previously created albums of all the photos I ever took with the iPhone using iPhoto and sync'd them back to the phone.

My question:

If I sync the phone right now, will I lose those iPhoto created albums of photos since they don't already exist on the computer (ie: new hard drive)?

They are the only copies of the images that I have left.

How do I safely ensure that my computer has a copy of all the images on my iPhone?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, if you sync you will lose your pics.

Use Expod to get your pics off (or iPhone Browser might also work). I'm not on my MBP right now or I would know for sure.
