Syncing Numbers for Mac on multiple Macs

Any chance Apple will ever allow us to simultaneously sync a .numbers document on different computers like OneNote for Windows does? I am currently putting all my spreadsheets in Dropbox, but I have to contact my boss to tell him to quit and reopen it. Why can't it just change simultaneously without having to close it?

I believe that is one of the features of iCloud & Documents in the Cloud coming this fall.
