Syncing PDF files

I have a PDF copy of a book that I'd like to sync progress across my phone & 2 iPads (and Mac if possible). I thought iBooks does this, but it only seems to sync the PDF to each device, not my place within it, so if I read another chapter, it only remembers that on the device I read it on, all of the others remain in the original position. Is there a way to modify this behavior in iBooks, or can anyone recommend another PDF app that does sync progress across devices?
