Syncing Photos Takes Forever On New iPad!

For some inexplicable reason, the syncing of photos to my new iPad, via iTunes, now takes forever.
It's basically transferring one image every 2 seconds, whereas previously on my iPad 2, it was tens of images in that same amount of time.

I don't think it's upscaling... so I'm not sure why it would take longer. Are you using front-side ports to plug it in? Or WiFi?

I'm using the same USB 2 ports I've always used. Wifi sync with my iPad 2 was way faster too..

That's definitely odd. Have you tried resetting the iPad? Computer? Other try-the-basics-first stuff?

It only seems to affect photos, though all other content syncs at normal speed.

Where's the iPad 4 with thunderbolt? lol but really I wish the dock connectors still supported FireWire, it was so much faster back in the day.

Sounds like your ipad needs more hertz. Go to the apple store and tell the genius that your ipad does have enough hertz. Ask him if they have any mega hertz left over from customer returns
