I've gotten myself very confused. As a new ATV owner I've been having some minor set up issues. Apple Care has helped a little, but here's my question;

I would like to stream video from my G5 Power Mac where iTunes is located.

Does it matter if I use Automatic Sync or Customer Sync?

I have a large video library and would like to have access to all the movies anytime.

Hi,
Yes it does matter quit a bit on those two selections. Custom Sync gives you total control and Automatic Sync does not.

Look over those two menus after making a selection of one. You will see exactly what I mean.

The answer to this question is no. Regardless of how you are syncing, you can always stream the entire contents of your video library. There is an option in the configuration to only show the synced content that is on your Apple TV, and you would want to have this option turned off so that everything was visible.
