Is it possible to to sync an Air and a Macbook Pro remotely using the same Time Capsule?

Longer explanation: I want to keep my Air at home and the Pro in another part of the country - relieving me of transporting machines from here to there.

Are forward and backwards syncs possible through remote connections to a 1T Time capsule?

I found this: http://www.macgurulounge.com/make-time-machine-remotely-back-up-to-your-time-capsule/

which requires a MobileMe account, but i'm thinking it may be possible by using VPN or some mojo. I'm just way over my head in networking possibilities here.

Any help much appreciated.

I am not aware of any way to use a Time Machine/Time Capsule to sync like you want. I think you would be better off using a combination of iCloud and Dropbox on both machines to stay synced. That is what I use and it is fairly seamless.
