Hi all,
When I map my Synology NAS to my MBP (via wifi) I get extremely slow speeds of 2-4mbps (via either SMB or AFP.)
When wired via Ethernet I obviously get great speeds but that is not how I use my NAS. I like to move around with my MBP to different areas and be able to access it without plugging in the Ethernet cable. I also map the NAS to files on my iPad Pro (also very slow.)

Then when I run Windows via Bootcamp on the same MBP and map the NAS to explorer, I get 70mbps (via wifi.) The noticeable difference between the two is crazy - opening files, large folders, photos etc. it is SO much more pleasant..
I cannot understand what is going... I have contacted Synology‘s engineering team and they have offered absolutely nothing.
What on earth is going on here??

I tested all the above in the one sitting (took about 15mins) and did not change a single setting anywhere to ensure that everything was consistent.

Supers frustrating! Any ideas?

I had this problem too, I find it just being a problem with Wifi altogether. I get slow downloads like 5mbps on Wi-Fi. On Windows machines it runs fine.

Not sure what the problem is.

I use a wired connection most of the time now.

Interesting you’ve got a similar issue. What model NAS do you have?
