Hello.

A few days ago my Mac slowed to a crawl. Activity Monitor shows that "syslog" is consuming 80 - 90% of the CPU. Sometimes there are two syslog activities running, both eating up the CPU.

I'm running OSX 10.6.8 on an iMac Intel Core 2 Duo 3.06 GHz with 8Gb memory I've killed th syslog process more than once, but it just re-appears.

Any suggestions appreciated!

Solved - Syslog consuming 80 - 90 % of CPU

Console showed that Geektool was running some weird process:

" Geeklet 87D91A6C-320A-4A93-90B0-347CDD89720F. Task already running (syslog -F '$Time $M…)"

Stopped that and now all is well.

Many thanks for the suggestion!
:)
