Ever since the security update I installed today (might not be source of prob) a program called 'syslogd' has been eating up 100% of one of my dual core processors in my macbook according to iStat Pro. I've tried to quit it using 'killall syslogd' in terminal but nothing will quit it. I've restarted and everything.
Im using 10.5.1 and the process isn't attributed to a program since it is there when I quit them all
Please help before my computer melts ( CPU at 70ºc now)

search MR forums for syslogd. A few of us have had this problem in the past—there's a terminal command for killing the process for reals (until next restart).
