System Admin Question

Can anyone tell me how can I change the name of the system administrator. The one that I had put when I got the MB is too long and it does not look good on the Finder. So now I want to put my nick name instead. How do I do that?

Also, since I have been a pc user. I am not being able to find how to hide fodlers in the MB. Can this be done.

It's not terribly straight forward, but Apple has some instructions for you all the same. Good luck. 🙂
