Anyone have success with this? I thought we were supposed to have system-wide AirPlay2 in 10.15. I really want to stream my turntable (input through iMic USB interface to my iMac) to my HomePods and had been doing so with AirFoil, but that solution doesn't support paired HomePods (yet). I was hoping 10.15 would give me the solution I've been looking for. Anyone else find success?

That's a HomePod question Tim asks. Here's your solution Tim:

I spent a bunch of time on support several weeks ago being walked through this ridiculously awkward workaround and it failed every time. I created a ticket snd it got escalated. I see your post is last year. Having created the aggregate device, as soon as I would select it in Airplay or in system devices, it would not work. When I went back to midi settings, the aggregate device was still there but was stripped of its output channels. Total bug. I am hoping the update today finally fixes what never worked. Even if so, it’s not Apple worthy. Stereo should just happen without the midi clusterfk.
