i have a black macbook (see signature) and was wondering why the system memory is always decreasing so quickly and doesnt "come back"
after having the computer switched on for 2 - 3 hours i only have 1.16 GB of the 2 GB system memory left even though the applications are all closed.

most of the system memory is used up by the "active" software but there isnt an application which uses up so much memory.
can anyone explain this to me?
thx

1. Don't worry about it
2. Worry more about Page Outs
3. Get more RAM

i know that it is nothing serious as u can also run the system normally with only 50 MB left... but i wanna know why this actually happens 😀
