I am going to purchase my second Lacie HD and was wondering on how I would go about formatting it to a FAT something so that I can plug it into both pc and mac to use for storage. Any help would be great. Also if there is any pro's and cons in doing this. Thanks Again

Search the forums since this question has been asked several times in the past.

The short answer is that it is far easier to do this by plugging the drive into a PC, creating a partition and formating it using FAT32. However, there are significant limitations witht he FAT32 filesystem.

Another alternative is to just format the drive using HFS+ and then use a HFS+ driver on the Windows system. MacOpener and MacDrive are both stable HFS+ drivers for Windows. They cost about $50 and have a trial period last I checked.
