Hi,

when I press Apple and then System Preferences: nothing happens: no Preferences Window shows up.
Does anybody know what to do?

Thanks in advance

Did you:
  • Reboot your system?
  • Repair Permissions?
  • Tried launching it from your Applications folder?
  • Deleted your com.apple.preferences.plist file from MacHD/Library/Preferences?

Can you open System Preferences via the Applications folder?

Is it even still there?

Have you repaired the permissions already (via Disk Utility)?
