14.0 Beta (23A5301h)

Wallpaper settings are not loading at all. Even restarting doesn't help.

Any tips on how to reset the service/configuration?

In my case, some weird problem can occur after I delete Apple's Profile under Profile section.
Maybe creation of a new user or turning on/off VPN/proxy might be helpful

Persists in Beta (23A5312d)

Also tried to create a new user and delete the broken user's `~/Library/Application\ Support/com.apple.wallpaper/Store/Index_v2.plist` from the new account. The file is re-created from somewhere and the settings are still broken.

I had the same issue. Wallpaper option in preferences showed spinning wheel on a Mac Studio and MacBook Pro under db5. Managed to reset the wallpaper by going into photos, select the share option on a photo and select set as wallpaper. After that you can go into the preferences app angain and change it to one of the standard options. I found the entire legacy screensaver section was a bit buggy when previewed. The new wallpaper/screensaver options work perfectly.

Didn't help in my case. I was able to set different wallpaper with your method but the settings page still crashes and does not load. So close.

Upgraded to Sonoma yesterday. Unfortunately, I also experience the spinning wheel when trying to access either Wallpaper or Screensaver settings. My Mac is under MDM, hence profiles and policies.

Hi, I have the same problem and even after the 5th update still the same problem. I still haven't managed to solve it yet.

Same here. Wallpaper and screensaver were working fine for a few days after installing Sonoma, now they simply will not load, even though they remain selected in settings. Have tried everything. Anyone know which Time Machine file might restore the desktop to just after (or before) Sonoma installation?

I'm having the same issue. M1 MBA. Will download some, but it's random, and most will not download. I want the Palau Reef Colors wallpaper but won't download. Have had several betas of macOS 14 and nothing seems to fix it. Have reported it but crickets. It's not a big issue I know, but it's annoying nonetheless.
