System Slow Downs

Hey guys,

After one of my applications locking me out of my machine, where i then had to force a restart.

After the restart completed everything is taking ages to load, typing emails and stuff like that is extremely slow. Also MultiAlarm is spitting errors at me about AppleScript, some other programs are doing this.

I have done the repair permissions and all but its still happening, i did how ever delete this "?com.apple.systempreferences.plist" and it did help but the problems came back.

I'd try restarting again and if that doesn't help, then I'd create a new user account to see if that is slow too. 🙂

Computer specs? Version of OSX? How full is your HD?

You could try running something like System Optimizer X. It runs all the scripts that your machine would naturally at night and resets all your pre-bindings. I run it about once a month.
