Are there any? I'm looking for the best EQ or DSP app that is system-wide that can fully replace the mediocre EQ that Apple Music has.. By the way.. why is this in a separate setting than the Music app itself?? Dumb design decision.

I know there are free EQ/players on the store, but I just want one EQ or DSP only app that will have complete system audio control, since I use a bunch of music apps. This is one thing I miss from Android phones.

Standard apps are not granted that type of systemwide privilege.

Try the Jailbreak subforms.

Sounds like something @eyoungren might know about?

Volume Mixer 2 (iOS 9)
EqualizerEverywhere

Both jailbreak tweaks, both deliver a system wide equalizer.

EDIT: I am mistaken with Volume Mixer 2. All it does is allow you to control the various volume levels of your device from one HUD screen. Sorry about that!

bummer. looks like there's no jailbreak for latest ios version, and it's not looking promising. oh well. i've just started using my sennheiser ie80 for commuting instead, and it helps improve the sound, but i'm not really a fan of taking an expensive earphone out to my daily grind in nyc. i'd rather take my cheaper earphones out balanced with a good dsp app. apple should at least implement its own system-wide eq, if they are stubborn about letting others do it for security reasons.

anyway, thanks guys
