T-Mobile 5s in Guatamala ?

A friend of mine is traveling to Guatamala soon and she is wondering if her unlocked T-Mobile 5s will work with a local carrier there ?
I am not sure how to check this for her.

If she currently is using TMO, she should probably start with them -- ask about int'l calling service and rates. If she's planning to buy a local SIM (rather than use TMO roaming), then at least her conversation with TMO will touch on the compatible networks.
