T-Mobile today announced that its customers can receive a free subscription to MLS Season Pass, allowing them to watch live MLS matches through the Apple TV app. The offer can be redeemed starting February 21 via the T-Mobile Tuesdays app on the App Store.

MLS Season Pass is regularly priced at $14.99 per month or $99 per season, but Apple TV+ subscribers can sign up for a discounted price of $12.99 per month or $79 per season. MLS kicks off its 2023 season on February 25, with all games streaming through the Apple TV app, as part of a new 10-year partnership between Apple and the MLS.

A subscription to MLS Season Pass includes all live MLS regular season and playoff matches, and the Leagues Cup, with no blackouts. Apple said the majority of matches in the 2023 season will be played on Saturdays, with 7:30 p.m. local start times.

T-Mobile and Metro customers can redeem the offer between February 21 and March 14 of this year, and the complimentary MLS Season Pass subscription will last through January 31, 2024, which covers the entire regular season and playoffs.

Well, this is disappointing to find out AFTER I spent the $79 for MLS Season Pass... wonder if I can get a refund since the season hasn't started?

Sonuva… right after I buy the thing this gets announced. Like last year when everyone was sure they weren’t offering MLB TV anymore, I bought that and then bam… they offer it up the next Tuesday.

Oh yea both schedules are sort of overlapping. Here in Seattle, there’s the T-Mobile Park for the home of Seattle Mariners. I assume the MLB.TV perk is still going on.
I hope so. I already get MLS Season Pass for free through another offer, so I was banking on the MLB.TV being free to watch the Twins. I live out of market.

If it's not included with t-mobile I probably wouldn't buy it myself.

Wonder if this means MLB.TV for free is no longer happening.

FWIW, there are some issues with broadcasters for almost half of the league right now. MLB saying they may need to take over production through MLB Network + offer their content to local markets via cable in some method. Wonder if there is a connection. They might "need" to make that revenue to pay for production.

I've been an MLB.TV subscriber for years and my only major complaint is the price + blackouts in my market that do not allow me to watch my team's broadcast. That was supposed to be addressed for 2023, but it's not.

No blackouts - finally! At least one sport understands the direction technology is heading.

Meanwhile, the old men running MLB are doubling down on blackouts and exclusions...

I agree it's the right direction, but MLS is a league with viewership that edges past MLB (Major League Bowling). They can't afford to blackout markets.

I sure wish T-Mobile will get a contract with baseball because thats my sport.

Perfectly cromulent.

I'd kind of like to see them to MLB TV - I think the clock will make games more bearable.

If I may speak for others, we appreciate your sacrifice. :D

(hope you're able to get a refund)
