The obligatory “my sport is bigger than your sport” argument.

Just enjoy the form of sport you enjoy, and just be happy people. It’s not a competition of favorites.

I myself like baseball, ice hockey, and US football as my top 3, in no particular order.

This year, though I took an interest in the World Cup and enjoyed the international competition and learned a great deal about soccer I didn’t know before as I didn’t grow up watching it. My step daughter and son in law both played in HS.

I have T-Mobile and have yet to get one.

They give it away every year via T-Mobile Tuesdays, typically in late March / early April. If you don't have the app you probably ought to get it set up and start looking in mid to late March.

(edit - it's likely only available to postpaid customers though, not prepaid.)

I just wanted that Apple NFL deal to go through. That's all I cared about. Now you have to essentially buy a full cable TV subscription through YouTube TV to get it. Screw that. At least my team won the Super Bowl!

I was on the fence re: subscribing to MLS pass as I mostly follow La Liga and Premiere League. I guess this seals the deal. A free year. Stoked!

Be careful what you ask for. For MLB, they brought in a bunch of chatty kids as announcers. Obviously, they are far cheaper talent than players, coaches, and career sports announcers.

You can actually just get the NFL package as a standalone option. It will be available through YouTube TV, but also through regular YouTube. So a customer doesn't have to subscribe to YouTube TV to get it, just get the standalone subscription.

"Starting next season, NFL Sunday Ticket will be available on two of YouTube's growing subscription businesses as an add-on package on YouTube TV and standalone a-la-carte on YouTube Primetime Channels."

You won't have to subscribe to YouTube TV to get Sunday Ticket. It will also be a stand-alone sub. But if you sub to YTTV there will be some special offers.

If I may speak for others, we appreciate your sacrifice. :D

(hope you're able to get a refund)
Honestly, I don’t think I’ll request one. I’m a supporter of the league and I want both parties to have a successful venture for the future of the sport here.

Was never going to work out with the amount of money the nfl was expecting. Apple has no where near the amount of subscribers to make a reasonable price. Sunday Ticket still has blackouts too.
