Wow, big tech sticking together. Someone must have paid them big time to do something like this. We now know who likes sharing info the most.

Hopefully Apple steps in. I don't use Tmobile, their service doesn't work well for me when we travel outside of populated areas. Hopefully this costs them business.

How does one submit a complaint to T-Mobile? Was considering switching 4 family phones to T-Mobile but this is a bad, bad sign.

I read something on the main page about EU carriers moving towards doing the same thing. I'd say the other U.S. carriers won't be far behind T-Mobile. I don't use iCloud+ now but when I need more than 5gb storage I'd like this feature to work as intended and not be stifled by the carriers.

They actually aren't blocking it. It's working fine on my iphone. The iCloud Private Relay blocking is only on certain plans that have existing blocking enabled, like T-Mobile Web Guard. Disabling the feature on T-Mobile will allow you to enable private relay on ios in most cases.
There is also a setting in cellular setting to limit ip address tracking that apparently has to be turned on in order for Private Relay to be turned on.

I think this confirms what you are saying:
Customers who chose plans and features with content filtering (e.g. parent controls) do not have access to the iCloud Private Relay to allow these services to work as designed. All other customers have no restrictions.
