Yes I'm jealous that I'm not getting ripped off by verizon.
And jealous that I can actually use data and talk on the phone also
Can you hear me now?

And the talk+data thing is an iPhone-only issue. The GS5, etc all can use data while on calls on VZW. You're just spewing BS and it's downright hilarious
Lol
AT&T's speed is way faster and coverage is better.
Also I don't care what other phones do, the phone I use and most people like to use is the iPhone and cannot do it on verizon. But keep trying to convince yourself that the prices you pay and many limitations you have to deal with its worth it.
Cause it's not.
In this discussion the same could be said regarding your remarks. I'll take your remark about ATT being faster as gospel, who cares? It's irrelevant.
I pay more and get the coverage I need. I don't have to worry about dropping calls and for the most part not having lte.
Keep believing talk and surf is an important thing for everybody. It's going to be the lamest of lame arguments anyway as verizon rolls out their updated lte. Those who want it can get it, those who don't care...meh.
Sure, maybe in 2-3 years verizons iphone will be able to use data while on a call.
No dropped calls and blazing fast LTE.
Let me see one of your speedtests![]()

I use AT&T too... I've had them for over 15 years...
I'm merely defending the comments made about VZW because they're pretty ridiculous and off-base. They cost about the same and the limitation of talk/data is iPhone-only. Get an Android and that's solved.
VZW has quite the expansive and fast network. XLTE speeds around here are tremendous. AT&T will be launching LTE-A (more specifically CA) to match them across the nation. They don't have the luxury of "Wideband" LTE that VZW has.
You honestly can't go wrong with VZW or AT&T. There isn't a wrong choice between them.
I would consider this but I'm scared of how bad coverage/data speed is. Plus I work in a big hospital and I believe I've heard people say t mobile has no signal inside.
Sign up for T-Mobile to send you a test drive phone to try out for a week free of charge. They give you an iPhone 5s with unlimited minutes and data, so you can see for yourself just how much of an issue the signal penetration might be. At the end of the week, just return the test drive phone to a T-Mobile store.
The only occasions I've had issues with T-Mobile's indoor coverage occurred inside large concrete buildings, so you might indeed have trouble inside a hospital building.
Keep in mind that T-Mobile will support wi-fi calling on the iPhone starting with iOS 8. So, if you can connect to wi-fi inside your workplace, wi-fi calling negates the issue to some extent. But, there's no better way to confirm the severity (or existence) of this issue than to test it yourself, and T-Mo makes it easy.
I think T-Mobile is still overpriced when you factor in the EIP payment on the phone. And as long as they are using high frequencies, LTE inside buildings will almost always cut out.
1 Line
$80 UNL Data + Tlk + Txt
$27 iPhone 5S
$107/mo PLUS taxes
That's high for unreliable service. And I say that because the T-Mobile signal drops even in excellent coverage areas when you go indoors.
Since Title is about T-Mobile well here it is on my MotoX with T-Mobile in Southern California (Glendale, Burbank Pasadena area) and My IPhone 5S.
And then you move a block down the road, and you're back on EDGE.
We could cherry-pick T-Mobile speed tests all day, but it's pretty much common knowledge that their cell grid isn't nearly as dense as AT&T/VZW, even though it should be because they are using high-freq bands

I'll never understand why threads concerning T-Mobile tend to degenerate into this same circle of pointless arguments.
- Yes we all are aware and know that T-Mobile's coverage footprint is vastly inferior to Verizon and AT&T. Those networks cost more and there's a reason for that. Common logic makes it obvious that if their coverage were near or equal to those two then they would all be more similar in terms of plans/pricing. All plans/pricing being equal I don't think anyone would choose T-Mobile over the Big 2. I'll repeat so that we make sure this is established: VZW/AT&T have a better overall network footprint than T-Mobile.
- I don't really see any posts in here where any users are arguing that T-Mobile has a superior overall coverage footprint. So many of you are just arguing against a point that no one has made. All I've seen is some who've said that for their specific situation they find T-Mobile to be the better value.
- The fact of the matter is that for some users T-Mobile's coverage, albeit more limited, may suit their needs and as such there is no reason to pay more to Verizon or AT&T. Why pay $1000 more per year for LTE in the Grand Canyon when you're only going to visit there once per year?
- Someone who is on the road a lot or living in rural areas may require Verizon/AT&T and that's fine. Some others may not do much traveling via driving or live in rural areas so T-Mobile may be the better option for them.
- One thing VZW/AT&T users can thank T-Mobile for is pressuring their carrier of choice to reduce prices and change their plans. The US telecom industry has come a long way over the past 2 years in terms of what they offer compared to before and you can primarily thank T-Mobile for that.
