Tmobile USA also raised their "unlimited" data by a 33%!! Per line. So instead of $20/unlimited option. It's now $30 extra per line for unlimited data. That's a huge price increase in such a short amount of time.

It's for NEW customers. Old customers Unlimited LTE will stay at the same price (+$20).

We all know Unlimited LTE can't go on forever. For new customers,

1GB: $0
3GB: +$10
5GB: +$20
Unlimited LTE: +$30

If you want to use 50GB LTE a month, you have to pay for it.

Old customers? These plans haven't even been around for more than 6-8 months?

They are supposed to be a simple choice plans. But new customers and newer slightly older customers are on different plans now.

Haha it was only a matter of time before they raised the unlimited. Eventually they will likely get rid of it altogether.

Yes, old customers.

New customers who want unlimited LTE = +$30 starting in several days from now.

Old customers who have unlimited LTE will be grandfathered into the +$20.

I'll say this much, their little plan worked on me. I just upped my plan to unlimited for $20 so I can get grandfathered in. At least this way I can tether to my iPad and not worry about it killing the allotment for my phone.

T-Mobile’s LTE will cover 250 million people in 2014, everywhere in the US by 2015

Just before the one-year anniversary of the launch of the “Uncarrier,” T-Mobile has announced the next round of network modernization upgrades. This upgrade cycle will bring LTE service to 250 million people by the end of 2014, and 300 million by the summer of 2015.

Back when T-Mobile first detailed its strategy for upgrading its network, it had noted that this strategy would be deployed to its entire network. However, it had only committed to upgrading the 35,000 GSM+UMTS cell sites it had at the time (covering 225 million people). That had later grown to 37,000 cell sites (covering 230 million people) through organic upgrades, and then 40,000 from the MetroPCS acquisition. That left about 15,000 cell sites covering 70 million people.

As for the remaining 15,000 cell sites, T-Mobile will be upgrading them all using its AWS and PCS spectrum to support HSPA+ and LTE.

Good for them to finally improve but even with their entire network covered with LTE, that still leaves some gaping holes in coverage. They have entire states with no service at all (WV, Iowa, Nebraska, the Dakotas, and a few others). People who drive through those areas en route to larger destinations only get roaming (which usually means limited or no data) or 'No Service' from T-Mobile.

They still have a long way to go. 600mhz is their best hope.

If you want ATT/Verizon coverage then you can pay ATT/Verizon prices.

There's a reason why T-Mobile is cheaper.

Hopefully T-Mobile will continue to put pressure on ATT/Verizon, that benefits us all.

If it were really $22 per line for 2 lines we probably would have jumped on this. It's just the wife and I on our plan.

I wonder why Sprint doesn't do something like this if it want to compete:

1) Get rid of Framily Plan. Only individual plan
2) $30 a month for Unlimited Talk, Unlimited Text, 1GB of LTE data.

Lot of prepaid Net10/Straight Talk would switch.
