For those of you who are fellow T-Mobile customers with Jump on Demand, any idea if the pre-ordering process online is any different? Is there an option to trade in my existing iPhone when pre-ordering the new one?

It is best to call when pre-orders open and speak to alive representative. Let them know you are using your JoD to get the new iPhone. This si what I have done in the past and it has worked very well for me. I plan to get the iPhone 7 plus this way.

Call Apple, or Tmobile? I am new to tmobile and would love to know the answer. Do I call at like 2am local time when preorders go live?

Can you do the regular jump program via apples website?
In the past few years there has not been an option to buy with T Mobile as the carrier so my guess is no.
I believe if you want to use jump, pre order's have to be in store or over the phone with a rep.

Back again for another week and a half of shenanigans with TMO and an iPhone pre-order.

I said last year I wouldn't do this again, but here I am.

Got my email to Legere's executive team on deck lol.

Is there anybody using JOD that was not eligible who now is? I used three upgrades this year and last time I checked I was not eligible. Checked again today and it said I am eligible.

First time TMobile member for an iPhone launch.

Quick synopsis of the issues last year?

ATT was pretty bad hearing it is worse is scary!

It was mostly stock. I received one of my phones on release date, the other a few days later. The one i received on release, i never got a confirmation it shipped or anything until a few days after it actually arrived but that could fall on UPS not T Mobile possibly. Also if you have JOD, you could only pre order over the phone and the lines got messy, also with their system going down. You also have the option of going into store to pre order. What i did, i pre ordered mine, and if it didn't ship before release date, i would give the T mobile store a shot on release date, if i found the one i wanted a store, i would cancel my pre order.

Gotta! LOL! I still have my connect there from last year. Email her every month to remind her to adjust my bill as a courtesy from all that crap last year. Lol

Last year I called in right at 3AM EST, waited on hold for 10-15 minutes, put the order through in minutes, and went back to bed. Phone arrived on launch day. Easy peasy.

Anyone know what the JoD monthly fee will be? Same as we are paying now? I think I am paying $15/month

hopefully it goes smoother than last year with the having to reorder because of system glitches

Hopefully....

Last year was horrid.

A lot of customers got screwed over (including me) when ordering the 6S. In my case I got up at around 3am EST, placed a preorder for a 6S Plus, went over everything with the guy on the line step by step...only for him to process an order for a 6... Had to call back several hours later, cancel that order and create a new one, which of course means I "lost" my place for the first shipments.

Hopefully it'll be better this year. Those poor representatives had to deal with everything from the systems shutting down, to not knowing what they had in stock to order, to not knowing what was on back order until AFTER the order was placed. All kinds of crap

That $15 was a promotion. You will have to pay the full monthly price. Probably between $30-35 a month.

Just curious to those who had the Jump and you upgraded to iPhone 7? How's your online preorder experience if you're able to? I'm thinking of enrolling in the Jump program for the first time.

Last year's process was a mess. I had to call T-Mobile at least 15 times over the course of 3 months for them to finally get my monthly bill right with the promotional credit I was supposed to be receiving. But here I am, about to do it again. I think I'm going to pay-off my iPhone 6s Plus lease and take advantage of their $650 upgrade offer in monthly credits.

BTW, I recognize many of you from last year! Wow what a debacle that was, huh?! :)
