T-Mobile has announced that its "Buy One Get One Half Off" promotion returns March 31, offering qualifying Simple Choice customers half off the iPhone SE when they buy a second iPhone SE and add it to a new line of postpaid service. The deal also applies to the iPhone 6/6s, iPhone 6/6s Plus, iPhone 5s, and iPhone 5c. Certified pre-owned iPhones are not eligible for the limited-time offer.

The promotion effectively brings the total cost of two new iPhone SE devices down to $600, compared to $800, plus applicable taxes. The rebate, which must be submitted within 30 days of the purchase of your second eligible iPhone, will be provided in the form of a prepaid MasterCard. T-Mobile will honor the deal for customers who already pre-ordered the iPhone SE since March 24.

Both new iPhones must be purchased through a single T-Mobile account on a JUMP! monthly financing plan, and one of the new devices must be on a new line of service. The account must remain in good standing, and the second iPhone must remain in service until at least July 15, 2016. The BOGO offer cannot be combined with T-Mobile's JUMP! On Demand early upgrade program, but customers can switch.

AT&T, Verizon, or Sprint customers can combine the offer with Carrier Freedom promotion, which provides those who switch to T-Mobile up to $650 towards a balance owing or to pay off early termination fees (ETFs) with an eligible device trade-in. Other T-Mobile perks include Binge On for unlimited streaming of select video services, Music Freedom for unlimited streaming of select music services, Data Stash, and Mobile Without Borders.

With all these things offerings by T-Mobile will shake the competition, for awhile, yes. But it seems like it's becoming ineffective and the competitors just ignoring it. Until they make their network on par with at least AT&T the competition is not worried. But they got me and ended up switching to them. The only benefit so far for me is that my bill is lower and I have new phones. Other than that their network is spotty.

It's not ineffective... At all! The others have shown that they are willing to "copy" paying ETFs and the like. Cost over all has come down on service plans in the industry in the USA.

Coverage... It's getting there. I see it improving in the areas I travel and frequent the most. It's not on par with ATT or VZW. You're right, but it's a ton better than even last year.

The competitors are responding. AT&T is currently offering a buy-one get-one deal for both the iPhone 6s and the Galaxy S7. Verizon and Sprint did a deal for the Galaxy S7, too.

What happens if I already have 4 TMO Cell phone lines?

I upgrade phone on line #1
I get phone #2 and start line #5
I cancel line #3 and replace with line #5 number.
I move the sim card between the two phones so new phone #2 is on line #2.

This 2nd half off on on NEW line is uncannier like indeed. Not cool.

I'm right there with you. I switched from AT&T, and while my bill is half as much as it was before and I get to use more data, my coverage is less than half of what I had with AT&T. Of course I'm still using an iPhone 6 and I'm really hoping a phone that supports band 12 will turn it around for me.

I really regret switching but I already went through the hassle and paid my ETFs so I guess I'll stay with them for a while:

It all depends on your location.... my house is 5 minutes from the beach in Miami look at my AT&T scores. (iPhone 6s plus)
Those speeds are pretty bad. Honestly, if I could just get 10down, 5up everywhere (city, highway, farm land, mountains, indoors, outdoors, etc) with a ping of 20ms or less, I'd be ecstatic. That is plenty fast enough for facetime, netflix, and spotify. However, the carriers seem more focused on getting high speeds in specific areas and neglecting other areas.

I was on Jump OnDemand so I got excited with 6s. Nope no band 12 in my area yet, I heard only few places has them. Obviously that was just a marketing, when Legere brags about it. He didn't have that antenna yet not even in some big cities. If band 12 reaches your area that would be awesome.

What exactly do you mean when you say your coverage is "less than half"? I switched to TMO as well and I'm very happy with the service. It's just as good as AT&T ever was.
