Unless they are trying to pull a fast one, it really sounds like from their press release that there should be no monthly fees (if you don't use over 200MB's). I hope T-Mobile can provide a straight answer about this.

I talked with a T-Mobile person on the phone for about 20 minutes and asked this question three times (only in different ways...) and the guy specifically said there would be no monthly fees other than paying for the hardware, if I didn't go over the 200 MBs.

So yes, I consider that they gave me a straight answer :)

Just noticed as well, unless you are currently a T-Mobile customer it is $10 a month. If you are currently a T-Mobile customer you will get a $10 credit each month on your bill. I knew this deal was too good to be true.:mad::mad::mad:

not entirely true

I just called up the t-mobile store in menlo park, nj before going down to buy one. They said that the deal is only for existing t-mobile customers or else it will cost $10 per month. So no t-mobile ipad for me.

Nope. They don't carry the 64GB, so I ordered for personal pickup at an Apple store.

Just got a 32GB space gray model at T-Mobile

Apparently, I picked up the last 32GB in space gray they had this morning at the store in the mall.

Not happy at all with the customer service though.

I told them I didn't use a lot of data and just wanted to pay for blocks of weekly data on an as-needed basis, vs. paying for a monthly data package on it. I was told 'We don't sell these that way.", and "The new iPad with a 2.5GB data package is the smallest one we've got for it."

I argued and argued, and the sales rep finally said, "Well, I can just sign you up for the 2.5GB LTE data plan today and make a note for us to call in 30 days and see how much data you actually used. If it's really not that much, then they can discuss possibly putting you on a lesser plan." !?!

In the end though, I took them up on the 2.5GB data offer because i already get a corporate discount on my T-Mobile iPhone 5 and apparently, it knocks $10/month off the price of the data plan too. For that price, it may just be worth keeping on it, really ....

Telus is the first in Canada to offers similar deal...

Upfront : 169$ iPad Air 16 GB / 269$ iPad Air 32 GB. 20$/month for 24 months. Plans start at 5$/month.

Did you actually buy one and confirm that they didn't charge you the $10/mo fee

Yes, I've ordered a 32 GB white/silver iPad Air. I did it by phone because the web site forms were a little broken and not working right.

It's confirmed that I'm getting the 200 MB free for life (though I don't have it in writing yet...). I paid $99 for the downpayment and will be paying the 26.25 x 24 months.

The sim card was $10 and the full federal tax on the iPad ($59) had to be paid today ~ that was the biggest drawback, but I think they had to do it that way because of not charging interest on the monthly payments.

So I'm happy! :apple: I don't mind waiting 'til next Wednesday or so to receive it. I plan to get Apple Care, but think I need to have the iPad's serial number first, right?

She said I was getting one of the last 35GBs in white/silver. I mean, last for this initial offering.

Yeah, the website is not working, at least if you are a prepaid customer - the site requires you add a $20/month 500MB plan to purchase the iPad monthly.

Definately a great deal. T-Mobile is making moves.

I saw you can get 25% Off tablet accessories if you use the promo code TABLET30. $0 Down + 200MB free data and 25% Off Accessories.

I think it's not working for anyone; T-Mobile acknowledged this to me. I called and spoke with a live person when the forms didn't work correctly. I'm a new subscriber and should be getting the iPad Air 32 GB (in white/silver ;)) on Wednesday or Thursday.

Far as I know, I'm getting the deal as was originally advertised. That's what she said, and that's what my receipts show. Time will tell.
