That pricing does not show the $5/month deal, it does show the new revamped JOD program.
This is old pricing. I think additional details will be released tomorrow w/ new pricing. http://newsroom.t-mobile.com/news/t-mobiles-iphone-6s-and-6s-plus-pricing.htm
And John's periscope happening now: https://www.periscope.tv/w/aNHo3jE4...kl6xML4NWxQrB18vK6JTMbZQWj-DY7aZg4dCwuhNIyg==

So what are the actual prices per device? Do we get to continually trade-in for that rate every year? Will they pay my Verizon contract off? Can you test drive the 6S at launch?
I'd really consider switching to T-Mobile if all of the above is true and their new LTE extended capability works well.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Trade in 6: $5/month x 18months = $90
W/o trade in: $20/month x 18 = $360
Cost of iphone 6 = $360 - $90 = $270?
IF this is true, then not really a good deal no? Pretty sure you can get a little more for your iphone 6 on craigslist...
I think the key here is that you can get a new phone up to 3 times a year. Or if you want to upgrade once a year it will be $5x12=$60. Now the question that I have not seen answered yet will T-Mobile continue to honor the $5/month if you upgrade from the 6S to to 7.
Wait a minute, if that is the case, you are saying it will cost $60/year to get the latest iphone every year? That would be insane...

thats not the news here.
I can recommend this move. I did it myself this past year to move to the iPhone 6. Couldn't be happier, and the 6s' Extended Range LTE will be fantastic. Seen it work great on my brother's S6 Edge
Did you watch the Periscope? It is what we're talking about here. John is talking about the new program.
As for that price plan, I updated my post to say it was the current (old) plan and that new prices should be up tomorrow per T-Mobile's twitter account. It's still relevant as they are going to beat that pricing if I understand correctly, which is incredible.

The big question is how long of a wait is it to receive a 6s/6s Plus through T-Mobile at this point. I have a reservation at an Apple Store for launch day but they only offer T-Mobile at full price AFAIK.
The pricing is insane. This is the type of program that should make the other carriers take notice.
Yeah. I am trying to figure out how I get on this as I was going to do the AUP. I own my iPhone 6, i paid off my EIP a few months after I switched over last year and was going to sell it. Do I have to trade it in? Can I trade in my 5C instead to start on the JOD thing? Is there an access fee? Or just the service plan + the JOD cot of the phone? #somanyquestions
My wife and I order (2) iPhone 6S+ 64GB on 9/19 and today we received a shipping notice for 48 hour shipping. The phones will be here Thursday or Friday. T-Mobile offered free 48-hour priority shipping which I think is still being offered.
EDIT: If you order your phones through T-Mobile by phone there is no activation fee. The retail stores are charging a $15 activation fee.
Right, but you ordered on the 19th. I would have to order tomorrow in order to take advantage of whatever the new pricing is, and who knows how far out those orders will be fulfilled.
JOD does not require a trade-in. My wife and I both have iPhone 5 and we joined JOD without trading in a phone.
EDIT: We are giving the kids the iPhone 5.
Does apple only offer T-mobile phones at full price, or do they have the plans there?
Probably not eligible, due to supply constraints.
TMO's twitter responded back to my question. You do have to trade in a qualified device for this deal if you are new to JOD. If I can turn in my 5C, I'll do it. If I have to turn in my iPhone 6 which is paid in full, I'm not sure it's a good deal for me. I can still sell it for $500. I need to do some math. lol.
