So many complaints - it’s an additional benefit being provided both to new and existing customers, including those on some older plans like Magenta Max, which I have. I am a Hulu subscriber, so this is great and saves me $$.

Yeah, but I think they are warranted

Who in their right mind would pay that much for a single line of cell service? That seems like family plan pricing to me lol

Hopefully they allow you to pay up to the no ads plan. I pay $2.50 extra with T-Mobile for Netflix premium tier. The inability to upgrade to ad free is what kept my from switching to Verizon. That and T-Mobile’s better 5g rollout.
OK that would be awesome. $2.50 for Netflix premium is an awesome deal. I'd totally do that

The article missed the part about this being made available to other plans. I am getting this as a free additional benefit and I pay $32 a line for unlimited everything + priority data, high speed data roaming, etc. I agree that $100 for a single line is a horrible deal.

If you subscribe to ad supported Hulu on Black Friday week it’s only $12 per year…. I do this every year
Yes, though you have to swap accounts each year since the BF promo isn't available to existing subscribers. Or cancel sufficiently in advance (month or two? I don't recall).

Yep, according to T-Mobile it's also available for those with 2+ qualifying Magenta Max lines as well. I don't see any other non-Go5G Plus or Next plans mentioned though.

You.

I mean, you cared enough to read and even comment on the story.

:p
Hoo-hoo, you’re so clever. 😅

I know MacRumors publishes a lot about the wider tech sphere. That’s fine. But news items like this are little more than advertisements, for a second-rate carrier with a bottom-of-the-barrel promotion.

So I repeat: who effing cares?

They often offer deals and such. I pay $176.46 after tax for Go5G Plus, and I have 3 lines and home internet as well.

I'll just keep my 55+ plan (3 lines and 5G Internet unlimited everything for $110.) Don't need all those woke "services" anyways.

Streaming was introduced to curb piracy--->Worked
Streaming got immensely sucessful--->Profit
Streaming becomes more expensive and ads start to creep back in--->Piracy has a huge comeback.

This is literally the way to tempt people into downloading content again...

You’re just being obtuse, in my opinion. It’s clear that free refers to the monetary price.

Paying with your time results in paying with your wallet. There’s a reason people pay to not have ads.

For me, either it must be ad free or have an option to not pay ads or I’m not watching it at all.

There is the rare instance where you’re introduced to a product or service that you didn’t know about that could help you but that’a the exception and not the norm.
