I'm no longer with Verizon. I'm with its subsidiary--Visible. I pay $25 monthly with Party Pay and get unlimited everything.
I agree that each carrier has different coverage in each area. You just have to test and compare to find the best price/performance ratio for you.
So far, I'm pretty happy with Visible's coverage in my neck of the woods. There are NO incentives for me to try/test other carriers.
To everyone reading this forum: if you have good Verizon coverage in your neck of the woods, and you don't need super fast internet, give Visible a try. It uses Verizon's network, and is super cheap. $25 a month with Party Pay. (Party Pay is a group of Visible users. If the group you belong to has 4 people or more, your monthly payment is only $25.)
High pings are normal in most areas for Visible sadly. Mainly sadly because latency is what makes a difference on how fast your connection feels.Hows the latency on Visible where you are? I tried it a few months ago and I agree its got good coverage and its a good deal, but the pings were >100ms, even when the speeds were still good. I never figured out if it was just my area or if its an issue with Visible in general.

Visible's on lower priority. I expect performance just depends on network congestion in your area.
Iirc, I used it around 6am at the office and it was fast and responsive. Alas, later in the day I'd often experience slowness and timeouts just doing a simple Google search.
What your ping normally?
Some areas in the mountains between LA and SD, east of both seem to get better Verizon reception than T-Mobile. Aside from that, some of the national parks are covered somewhat by Verizon and AT&T but not T-Mobile. I think that one of the reasons to own a cell phone is to have access to a phone in case of emergencies away from towns. I am a photographer and do a lot of driving into some of these areas and feel more comfortable with access to 2 carriers. What rural areas are you referring to?
yes i can comapte...One thing you really cannot do is compare cell companies to each other by comparing what you may have experienced in years past with current goings on...
One thing you really cannot do is compare cell companies to each other by comparing what you may have experienced in years past with current goings on. I saw some comments here where people say things like "I used to have T-Mobile.." etc. Well, in the past year alone, T-Mobile has grown by leaps and bounds. There is no comparison between today's T-Mobile and what the company was just a year and a half ago.
I currently use T-Mobile on my eSIM and have a US Mobile (Verizon network) physical SIM in my phone as well. I tried T-Mobile several years ago and got more dropped calls back then than I care to remember. I can honestly say that now in the Los Angeles area T-Mobile has as good as if not better coverage than Verizon. I see absolutely no reason to use Verizon and pay more to do so. The only reason I have that second SIM on Verizon towers is for rural areas, and I am seeing less and less of a difference there nowadays too. I am routinely getting between 300 and 400mbps download speeds on T-Mobile's 5G and honestly can't imagine why I'd need anything faster.
All 3 networks are improving monthly. Please don't compare anything you see today with what things were like just a few years ago. The industry has changed enormously.

I just saw your post. I never paid attention to latency, because I don't pay games or do anything that requires low latency. So long as the speed is decent--and it suffices for my needs, I am happy. But anyways, I just did a test with speedtest and fast just to answer your question.Hows the latency on Visible where you are? I used to use Verizon for several years and got tired of the high price and lack of customer service. T-Mobile has done a great job with coverage and customer service for me.
Att will better fit your needsSo I currently have a 12 Pro Max on Verizon and am getting tired of the dropped calls and slowish data and am wondering if moving to T-Mobile would be any better or worth it to pay off my 12 pro max and switch.
