T-Mobile has announced a limited time promotion offering four lines of unlimited talk, text, and 4G LTE data for $120 per month. The deal offers new and existing customers with at least two lines an additional two more lines free, including families or individuals adding a smartphone and/or tablet to their plans.

T-Mobile ONE regularly costs $70 per month for the first line, $50 per month for the second line, and $20 per month for each additional line, totaling $160 per month for a family of four. However, an existing promotion already offers the third line for free, so the new deal offers an additional $20 per month in savings.

The promotion will be offered between Friday, November 18 and Sunday, November 20. A 24-month finance agreement is required.

Update: A T-Mobile spokesperson informed MacRumors the deal also applies to older Simple Choice voice plans.

Ok, I know I am not a math genius, but I thought $160 - $120 = $40 savings, not $20. Am I missing something?

Yet again the problem, as usual, is the coverage.
Until they expand their coverage all of these T-Mobile deals are useless, no matter how enticing they may be.
Coverage with T-Mobile is absolutely incredible these days, at least everywhere we go it is much better than AT&T.

I went to T-Mobile earlier this year. Coverage was just terrible. Had to leave. The ideas and pricing is great, but when you can't get coverage, any price is too much. Will try again in a few years maybe, but for now it's just a no-go. For reference, I'm in Michigan, lower peninsula. Coverage in the major metros is fine, but get 15 minutes outside town and you're dead in the water. Not just degraded coverage - NO coverage. I hope they keep working on it.

My issue too. I would get this if the coverage was better.

My son doesn't live with me, and his iPhone with TMobile never works well in my area, but were he lives in the city, he get excellent coverage and really fast data speeds. I hear similar stories from other people with TMobile.

If you live in a urban area, this is probably one of the best deals you are going to get, but in the suburbs or rural areas, you are probably better off with one of the other companies.

Too bad their network in the Bay Area is trash. I went from Verizon to T-Mobile in hopes of seeking unlimited data and getting a better fallback network than CDMA and instead what I got was data speeds of .1mbps down even on full bars during peak hours. Switched to AT&T and it's been perfect so far. HSPA fallback and great LTE speeds.

I've had T-Mobile on my iPads (couldn't pass up the 200mb free a month). In my house and around where I live (suburb of Phoenix) it has been much improved the past couple of years. However on 3 occasions this year I've traveled and had bad or no coverage (Bozeman MT, Indian Wells CA, and oddly enough when I went to WWDC in San Francisco).

Now I know the newer iPhones have more bands that T-Mobile uses, but it just isn't worth the risk to make them my provider on my main phone.

I pay $160 for 4 lines on ATT after my corporate discount and get better service in my area. but it is limited to 20gig (15 gig, plus an average of 5gigs of rollover). this plan is $40 cheaper, gets worse coverage and is limited to 28gig (yes after 28gig you get throttled on the unlimited plan).

Thanks, but for now I will pay the extra.

Is there any way to personally test my coverage? I'm interested in this offer, and I no longer am stuck on a contract with AT&T...

Their map looks pretty good to me... their map says that customers have verified coverage is Good or Excellent in most places where I go.

It's actually 28gigs per line. So 28X4 = 112gigs total. But I agree, coverage in the Bay Area is supposedly abysmal

I'm not sure where you live, but I live in Seattle suburb (about 20 miles from the city limit) and we have very good coverage throughout the area. Of course this is T-Mobile headquarter country, so perhaps that's the reason?

Anyhow, this deal is very good, especially if that two additional lines are free.

They used to give a one week test drive phone with no strings attached, other than supplying your credit card for collateral in case you don't return the phone. Now all they have is a 30 day trial period, which lets you cancel service and refund all associated costs. I did that before I moved from AT&T two years ago. Service at the time was just barely acceptable, but I was seriously fedup with ATT at the time for forcing a data plan on two of my lines. At less than 1/2 price combing two accounts across 8 lines from family members, I put up with the barely acceptable service.

Fast forward to now, coverage is vastly improved. I'm glad I got in early at their rock bottom price. As their coverage improved they've slowly been upping prices, which is totally expected. Glad I got in early. To have the services I have now it'll cost at least $100 more per month.

BTW, does anyone know how much is 5th and 6th line? Would it be $20 each? that would make $160 for 6 lines?

People with devices older than an iPhone 6S will not have band 12 LTE coverage, this is why they have poor T-Mobile coverage as most of the new network is band 12 LTE. For a list of compatible devices visit T-Mobiles website

That's probably because they are using devices older than the iPhone 6S which do not have band 12 LTE coverage which is most of T-Mobiles new expanded network.

You have to have a band 12 LTE compatible device, all iPhones older than the 6s won't work

What device were you using?? Was it an iPhone older than the 6s? If the device did not have band 12 LTE you wont get coverage

Yeah but your whole family gets throttled on ATT after the 20gig cap. T Mobile One 28gig cap is for each individual on the same family plan.

All iPhones older than the 6s do not have band 12 LTE radios and will not work on T-Mobile expanded coverage network

What is true for your particular location isn't true for other people's locations.

Here in the Puget Sound region (western Washington state), over the past 15 years I've been with Verizon, then T-Mobile, then AT&T, and now T-Mobile again. In the areas where I tend to be, all three networks seem to have the same coverage - where one is good, the others are good; where one is bad, they're all bad.

For me, Verizon's only advantage is when we visit my in-laws in the far northeastern corner of the state (350 miles away... we only go there about once a year). It's very rural, and very remote; only Verizon offers any sort of data coverage (my T-Mobile phone still works there for phone calls and SMS). But that's easily solved: I have a 4-year-old original iPad Mini which is on Verizon's network. So when we take a trip, I buy a one-month data plan from Verizon - the rest of the time I'm fine on T-Mobile. That ends up being a heck of a lot cheaper than going with Verizon full time.
