Last year when I received my 7 Plus (I was moving up from the iPhone 6S Plus) I thought I would be able to just pop my sim card into the 7 Plus and be good to go. Unfortunately I had to call T-mobile and deal with someone on the phone to get it activated or something. I purchased the phone from Apple. It is odd because, in moving from a 5S -> 6, 6 -> 6S, I did not have to call in and activate anything.
