just wondering why the iPhone couldn't go to carrier T-Mobile. I know they have a small 3G network... but they are a lot cheaper then ATT and Verizon. And could help bring down the iphone's monthly price on ATT.

That's why.

Apple gets a lot from AT&T. (Some of which we know, some of which I'm sure we don't know.)

Apple would lose all that if they did this.

Same reason they're still not going to Verizon. They're gonna get as much out of AT&T as they can until they have to finally expand.

they are cheap beacuse they don't have the iPhone...same with sprint...these two carriers have the least demand and the least attractive line up of devices
