Anyone have T-Mobile in Phoenix/Tempe area? I'm looking to switch from Verizon which has very good coverage but is $$$.

Huh - how long did it take for the iPhone 5 / 5S to be immediately available? I was hoping to get an iPhone 6 sometime around this October and would definitely be interested in giving T-Mobile a spin through their test drive program.

Not all large screen phones are the same. ;)

Yes, some have a customizable home screen with live tiles, you can uninstall apps you'll never use and have expandable memory  And the charging cables cost $5 a pound instead of $30 each.

I convinced my sister (lives in Cleveland, OH) to take the test drive, primarily so I could stop hearing her complaints about her Sprint coverage. :)

Unfortunately, she was frequently receiving only an EDGE signal - especially while inside of buildings. As a result of the t-mobile test drive, she has a Verizon iPhone 6 scheduled for delivery on Friday :)
May I ask where she lives? I'm in the Cleveland area, too, and am interested in knowing how T-Mobile does. Thanks.

I did a test drive at the end of last month. I'm risk adverse and didn't want to make the jump and find out my house was in a dead spot. (It was all as good or better than AT&T)

Have to say that the test drive is helping with the peace of mind.

I've been test driving the T-Mobile service in North Florida this past week. It is abysmal.
Shows you how regional coverage is. T-Mobile's south Florida coverage is reputed to be exceptional.

I do. It's very good so far. The only problem I have is LTE drops to HSPA (and sometimes to Edge) in one little spot in my apartment. It's rather bizarre, I get strong LTE in the rest of the apartment and surrounding neighborhood. I live near Loop 202 South. Worked great in LA last week too.

Can I upgrade a test drive phone to iOS 8?

Instead of waiting for T-Mobile to upgrade their iPhone 5S phones to iOS 8, can't I just do a test drive now and upgrade the phone to iOS 8 tomorrow when it is released?

Or do they lock the phone somehow to prevent iOS upgrades? I'd like to check out the wifi calling feature as well so I don't want to do the test drive unless I can use iOS 8.
