I have an unlocked iPhone 4 that I'm planning on using on T-Mobile. If this NanoSIM is available at a store near me, will I be able to purchase it and use it for the $30 Monthly 4G plan that's available through the website or will I still have to buy the regular MicroSIM through the website and eventually cut it down to nano?

The iPhone 4 uses a Micro SIM. The iPhone 5 uses a Nano SIM, which is smaller than the Micro SIM. T-Mobile stocks both types of some cards so you should be OK using either iPhone with T-Mobile.

I was contemplating going to T-mobile and just buying an unlocked iPhone 5 whenever Apple releases them. I don't want anything to do with AT&T so I won't buy one from them. (They're not getting any of my money ever again!) I want to live the "sim card" life so bad that I'm willing to leave Sprint for it but then again only the iPhone uses nano sims so I still couldn't swap phones on a whim.

I recently had AT&T unlock my wife's (off-contract) iPhone 4. Are there inexpensive t-mobile options for this phone? When I did a livechat with t-mobile they told me we'd have to agree to a two-year contract to get a micro-sim from them. And the plans didn't really seem that great–e.g. $50 for 500 minutes, unlimited text and 2GB of data. I thought getting this phone unlocked would be a plus for us, but the options for actually using it seem somewhat limited

Im sure they will send u a text once u about to reach the 100 minutes, and if u do they will prolly charge u per minute!

Ayways, like i said this plan is just something that suits me best! I never or rarely use my minutes monthly!

Like i said if i do make calls, i call over my google voice number. All my credit card accounts are link to tht number anyway.

So when i call from my google voice number they know directly it is me.

Ps: it is a prepaid as month to month! Not the type of prepaid where you have or need to add money in! That mean you can cancel anytime you want.

I have 2 lines with AT&T. I pay $150 monthly for both. Saving about $100 a month and paying $60 for both lines have me interested. How is the quality of service when placing calls over GV? I remember placing calls over textfree and it was pretty spotty and delayed.

Yikes they want a 2yr contract for a sim card! I'm over signing contracts.

There are already Nano to Micro adapters as well as regular full-size SIM.

Talkatone app does the job like a normal call can handle. Unless you really have a bad wifi/3G connection.

I'm sure down the road google gonna try to charge for google voice which would be ok with me, becaue I know google they will offer it at a cheap price.

Btw nettalk, vonnage etc... Apps are free as well!

I didn't know this. Well it looks like I'm T-mobile bound once they get LTE in Dallas. They've refarmed the 1900 band here already not sure of the speeds though. It can't be any worse than Sprint's poor 3G.

If you have an iPhone 5 in a T-Mobile refarmed HSPA+ area, you can possibly experience speeds around 20mbps down. Since it supports T-Mobile's HSPA+ 42 network. I've gotten up to 28mbps with one of my Androids on their network.

I can tell from experience that Tmobile service is simply not that great especially when you go into a building. Has a very hard time penetrating walls.

I think T-mobile's web site will be a better place to find the plan you want. I rarely if ever ask any business on the phone, because they will sell what they want to sell. Reading your post I think you are looking for a 4G no contract plan. For $50 you can get unlimited talk, text and web. I have been with AT&T for 3 years and over 9 years now with T-mobile. I travel frequently and have never had a problem. But then I do not live in a big city like NYC etc so I don't know if that is a problem in high rise buildings.

I have limited minutes so rarely if ever use GV. When overseas I use T-mobile's App Boblsed for calling. Free calls within US and from outside to US. I also use talkatone on my iPad to convert it in to a phone line. This App uses the GV account for calls. Most international calls are around 2C a minute.
