Google Chrome added Tab Expose not too long ago. I'm surprised Apple hasn't done this yet, as it works extremely good in Chrome (it even uses a gesture). Tab Expose (along with Chrome's omnibar) make me want to switch back to Chrome, but at the same time, I've heard that Safari in Lion works really good (plus I love Safari's new tab page). Does anyone know if Apple plans on adding tab expose to Safari in Lion (even if not the first release)?

Wow, didn't know Chrome did that! I should switch to Chrome maybe... Safari should get tab exposé...

The only thing stopping me going all out for Chrome is keychain. Currently only Chrome beta handles keychain, and it's implementation is spotty.

Long live Safari!

I really hate the way Safari treats bookmarks, it's confusing. You have the bookmarks bar, then the bookmarks menu, and to edit all that you have to click the bookmarks button in the bookmarks bar and you then have this Cover Flow view of your History, RSS feeds and Bookmarks. How the hell do those things even go together? And why can't I just have "bookmarks", what's the deal with them being in 3 different places at the same time?

Exposer doesn't work nearly as well as Chrome's overview page. I wish Safari would enable some sort of tab preview (such as hovering over the tab and having something drop down), but alas.

As for Chrome, I just switched from Chrome to Safari after using the former exclusively since it came out. It took a little getting used to, but I like it better now. I just miss the omnibar... (and tabs on top would be nice)

You can do the same in Safari with the Exposer extension

Yeah, but it's not even close to the same. Exposer just shows a small preview and doesn't work too good. The way Chrome does it is extremely polished (surprisingly).

I just noticed something odd in the TC's screenshot--it differs to how my Chrome works. When I go into overview mode, the entire window grays out (all window chrome, including traffic lights, disappears).

What version of Chrome is that?

Mine does the same as yours. That photo just came off Google. (possibly and old beta or dev version?)

Anyone notice how on photos of mission control, Apple never uses tabs, only windows...

Tab Expose would be good for 4 or more tabs, but what about something a bit more simple like tab switching? You have to press the ridiculous key combination ctrl+tab or ctrl+shift+tab to do this. Maybe a ctrl+two finger swipe would be a good implementation.

There is a Safari extension, called Exposer, that does just that, but it doesn't work in Lion, unfortunately. I used to use that one.

You can set whatever gesture you you want to switch tabs with BetterTouc Tool. I've been using that for a while. It really would be nice to seen an overview of all your tabs though as tab switching gestures can't help you identify the tab you are looking for.
