Has anyone got any thoughts ?

This is the change that would make the biggest difference to my daily flow... I thought the tabbing was app independent and therefore available in all programs ?

It's not working in all apps yet but yes, tabbed Excel would be ace. In the meantime, it's working in Numbers ;)

If only I could afford Macs for my whole team I could convert all our spreadsheets and life would be simple

It's available to certain window types. Honestly though Office is so custom an interface I have my doubts whether it will arrive without Microsoft adding it. Given Microsoft only just managed to produce a (horribly crashy) 64-bit build of Office 2016, and only for Office Insiders on the fast track, I'd say you may have a long wait.

Apple and/or Microsoft may pleasantly surprise us yet but I wouldn't hold my breath for it.

MS uses its proprietary UI code that is independent on the system so it wont happen...typical MS
